Break

I am taking a very short break from cleaning my house. I stress very short because I have our first cell group meeting here tonight. We did away with the generation cell because there was very much so lack of commitment and interest from the kids. It got to the point where mostly only my foster bros would come and they are technically not youth. They are 25 and 26, but they are a little slow, so they enjoy more youth oriented things. Anyways it was almost just a cell group for Tim and I and RJay and Heather. So my father/pastor decided to change it to our own cell group. So therefore my house must be cleaned for tonight!!!
On another note, just to clear it up a bit, I didn't actually hear the baby's heartbeat, I just saw it. The nurse pointed it out and it looked like a little winking eye. I have another appointment this Friday where I am sure I will get another picture of the baby. Right now it is the size of a small raspberry. I haven't really been sick thank God, but I have had some slight queasiness and indigestion this week. I am praying it won't grow into full-blown morning sickness. Other than that I mostly feel good. I already have a slight belly, but they tell me a lot of that is left over from the hormones I was on. Oh well, it's just going to grow anyways so why not now?? Well that's about all the boring details of my life that I have to share right now. God bless!!!

A Precious Little Heartbeat

I saw my baby's heartbeat yesterday!!!! The nurse pointed it out. She said, "You see that little thing that looks like a slow wink?" And then she told us it was the heart!!! If I had any doubts of not being pregnant, they are definitely now erased!!! Praise God for a little heartbeat!!!! I just can't see how they can't call that a life for abortion purposes, when you can clearly see a heart sustaining and supporting the baby. That whole concept boggles my mind, people are so selfish!!! I want to make a maternity tee that says, "I chose life!" I think I will somehow. Well I am officially due on January 17, 2007. There is only one baby in there, that they can see. Which is fine with me because I want what God wants for me!!! I wanted to cry when I saw the heartbeat, but the nurse was so matter of fact that the moment came and went fast. My husband is so excited. He is being so good to me already. The only thing I hate is I catch him staring at me nonstop!!! I can't even eat without him gawking. He tells me all the time I am beautiful. I tell him to knock it off!!! At least when I eat. Right now we are at his Dad's in Syracuse. Last night we went out to eat which was okay, Tim picked the place so it wasn't really anything I liked much because we are on opposite sides of the spectrum with food. Oh well, it's his birthday weekend so I will let him get away with it!!! Hope all are well!!!!

Sunshine???

Oh sun oh sun where have you gone?? It has been raining for like two weeks straight here. And when it's not raining it is still gray and dull and overcast. My flowers are closing themselves up to protect from the cold....sad, sad, sad!!! I miss sunshine!!!! Hopefully this weekend will get better. Tim and I have our first prenatal appointment friday. I don't know if they can give me much info this early in the game, I do however know, that my baby is the size of a sesame seed right now. My little sesame seed!!! And his/her heart is already forming and beginning to beat!!! Oh the wonder of a little life inside me!!!! Here are Aidan's thoughts:

Not much

I can't really top my last blog as that was some pretty good news!!! Not much is going on. Feeling good, no sickness, mostly just a little tired. My first real Dr's appointment will be May 26 which is probably when they will give me a due date, tell me foods and medications etc.....that I can and can't have. I am hoping they will be able to tell if there is more than one baby in there, but it might be too soon. Oh well, we shall see. It's really weird cuz the most that makes me feel pregnant is being hungry more often and being tired. And the peeing a lot deal!!! I got that one down good!!! Other than that though, it just feels sureal. I guess when I start to show I will probably feel more pregnant. We are praying for no morning sickness. So far so good!!!
Other than that not much exciting news. My favorite team won the Amazing Race tonight!!! Usually no one I like wins reality shows....not that I watch a ton of them, but I already was a little miffed when Aras won Survivor this week. So when BJ and Tyler, the hippies, won Amazing Race, I was pretty stoked. Mostly because they had a smile and positive attitude the whole time, even when they were almost eliminated twice, and they each ate a whole bowl of fried grasshoppers and crickets.....you gotta admire someone with that determination. Anyways they just perserveered, which actually encouraged me to keep perserveering....believe it or not, from a tv show!!! I just really like seeing positive things!!! Finally!!!

Well I am happy to announce that after four years of trying, my husband and I are PREGNANT!!!!!!! I have known since Wednesday but I couldn't announce it on here until we announced it at church today because some church members read this!!! So Tim and I are praising God that He is a God of miracles, and He has answered our heart's desires!!! I thank all of you for your faithful friendship and prayers, it has really been what has sustained me. If I didn't have great friends and people of faith around me, I don't think I would be where I am today. So far I don't have many details, other than I am about 4 weeks along, so sometime in January will be the due date. Everyone is asking me if I have names and this and that and I am like, dude I just found out!!!! Thru the ups and downs, God has always been faithful, and He has always sustained me, even thru my darkest days. I know I am blessed to be an infertile woman that God has healed. Some women never get what I am being blessed with, and to know that God answered my prayers is just awesome!!! I will keep you all updated, but for now that's it. I would say that's a big IT though!!!! Thank you Lord!!!!

Hotel Utica

Well I got to stay at a place I have wanted to stay at for a while now. My husband Tim and I went with my parents to a conference at Mt. Zion in Utica, NY, this week. We stayed at the Hotel Utica which I have wanted to stay in because it was built in 1912 and it was restored a few years back, after a long fight to keep it from being demolished. I loved all the original things it had in it. The rooms weren't drop dead gorgess, but the lobby is quite amazing....click on my link to see. Some dear friends went with us as well. It was quite fun. Especially the last night when my husband Tim had a whole table full of friends and pastors laughing, with an impression of a pastor friend of ours. I got to eat fried ravioli at Babe's restaurant....yummmy!!!! We also did a little shopping, but not too much, I only bought two shirts. A very cool Beatles shirt.....that makes my collection like 5. I have quite a few Beatles shirts. Anyways it's always nice to get away and hear some good teaching. Also to get to see some friends we haven't seen in a long time was nice. There is a couple that pastored a church in Pennsylvania when I was a kid, and my dad took over the church when I was about six years old. I haven't seen them since then, and I got to see them this week. They live in Kenya now!!! Talk about a calling!!! Anyways their son Joe is a surgeon in Pittsburgh, and he was on television doing cranio surgery on these two young boys whose heads were too big....I actually saw the special.....it's really neat to know that someone who babysat you and lived in your house, is doing these amazing things. He is supposed to be on this fall as well. His name is Joe Losee....it will be on the Discovery channel. Well I guess that is all the information I will give you at this moment in time. Update

Well as I said in my last post, I did quit my job. It was not an easy thing to do...but I knew I had to. I am back to babysitting again. I am still going to go volunteer at the Home and visit Nellie as often as I can. She was sad to see me leave, but I am going to try my best to make it up to her. I think she's getting close to her death, she seems to be in a real fragile state, and she keeps begging God to take her. She enjoys people around her but her life is pretty dull, sitting and looking out the window every day. I did bring her some old time radio shows and a silent film, so I think she knows I care a lot about her.
On other notes, I do have my new car, I don't know if I said that already or not. It is a completely different car, same model and year, different color. I love it.
The hormones I am on are doing a toll on me. I am very emotional...I don't have outbreaks of anger or anything like that but I cry at the drop of a hat. It is so annoying!!! So is the acne it is causing!!! My skin looks like a pepperoni pizza!! How humiliating!!! Oh well it is only temporary and if it brings the results I want then it's worth it.
Not much else going on, other than I am in the process of kicking Heather's butt in Monopoly!!!! Ha ha ha!!!!

1...Day since I quit my job....and yes I had to, it just wasn't right for me. Don't worry though I will be volunteering there so I will still get to see Nellie!!

3...The ammount of sour Jelly Belly's I just put in my mouth.

4...Years I have been waiting....God knows!!! He will answer my prayers!!!

5...Years I have been married to my wonderful hubby!!!

7...Times I have told myself to STOP EATING THE JELLY BELLY'S!!!

8...Times I had to pull my cat back up onto the porch during dinner...that's right, it was so beautiful tonight we ate on our new porch furniture!!

9...The number of times I have asked myself what the heck to put for numbers 8-10!!!

10...The number of millions of dollars I would like to have so I could pay off our church mortgage, my and my family's bills, and start a youth center!!!
