Tired

As the title elludes I am extremely tired. I need a break. Tim and I were talking about cancelling our trip for our anniversary, but we can't without losing our whole deposit. We just realized I won't get paid in time for Christmas and we still have some gifts to get. And we haven't gotten eachother yet. Not that gifts are what Christmas is all about, but we really like to give. We are going to wait on it though and see what happens. If worse comes to worse we will go to a cabin and sit around and do nothing. Which will be nice, but I was hoping to enjoy some of the things Lake Placid has to offer. Unfortuneately those things cost money. Oh well.....we still can't find our Christmas/Wedding decos. Things just don't seem to be going great lately with a lot of stuff. But I know I am far more blessed than most. I am the only one of my siblings that owns a house. Tim and I paid off five credit cards this year. Of course we have eachother and family and church. So I try to remind myself of these things. My good friend Heather Jo called me from Washington State last night and told me her husband is getting transferred to Kentucky, which is only a 12 hour drive from here, so I will get to see her a lot more which I am happy about. We grew up together and know eachother so well. Although she told me last night she loved horses and that's something I never knew about her. Anyways she won't start a blog so she can comment on mine!!! Bum!!!! Well if anyone reads this today, please pray for my sister at about 2:30pm. She has court against the man that tried to ruin her life thru abuse. We are praying he gets no form of contact with the kids for their own safety and protection, because he is truly evil. So please pray if you can. On that note, I gotsta take care of those very little angels.............

Ah Life!!

So I made lasagna for the first time tonight for a church function tommorow night. Hope all goes well with the taste and whatnot. Granted it doesn't have my Momma's homemade sauce, but hey, one step at time. We are talking someone who doesn't know how to cook much. I lie actually, I can cook quite a few things, nothing monumental mind you, but if you let anyone know that then they expect you to cook;) Anyways I digress.......My hubby and I went to put up our Christmas/Wedding decorations...(we had a Christmas theme, so therefore our decorations are our wedding decos,) and we discovered half of them are missing. No idea where they are....the person's attic we stored them in until we bought our house, would never have touched them, this I know for sure, so not 100% on where they are. I am a little dissappointed but I remind myself they are just ornaments...even if they were part of my wedding. I am sure many couples don't have all of their wedding stuff still....but my head says this and my hearts says...AAHHHHH!!!! Besides I want my house to be pretty. The poor baby has been neglected year after year....the previous owners lived in Florida for the winters. So she needs some good love and affection. On another note, my little nephew Aidan is quite the little poop. Today I had nursery at church and I was like, "Aidan give me a kiss." Answered by a big, "NO." I thought this might be a fluke, that he might not know what he was saying....but no, he kept telling me no thruout the service and then proceeded to slap my face and say "Bye, Bye." As in, get out of my face.....all with a smile on his handsome little baby face!!! AHHHHH Life!!!!
P.S. Got my "new" 70 year old flapper shoes in the mail....they are flippin sweet!!!

Blah blah blah

As the title elludes I am feeling like saying blah blah blah to some people. I should be writing a happy little story of thanksgiving day, but to tell the truth it did feel just like any other day than with the exception that my whole family, minus a niece and a nephew, were there. That was nice, and I really was thankful for that. My issue is today. I was reading another blog and it set me off....I am so tired of a feel sorry for me attitude....keep in mind it is none of your blogs....but I can't believe no matter how hard you try to pour into someone they just spit in your face. I had a similar experience with a family member recently as well, no matter what you do for them it is not good enough....no I am not talking about you Tracey. People want to walk around with this feel sorry for me victim mentality. I am about to puke from it!!! It is so ridiculous. Sometimes you just want to smack them. I have a lot of issues in my life right now, but I am putting them in God's hands....I could complain, I could be Miss Miserable all the time, I could accuse everyone of not being there for me and sit and stew in my own issues, but my Lord Jesus is bigger than that. I don't need to feel sorry for myself!!! And neither should these people, but they want to boil in their troubles. I will never understand it. RISE ABOVE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! Sorry, I just had to get it off my chest somewhere!!!! Hope I didn't ruin anyones day.

Happy Gobble Day!!!

What I am thankful for: My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, My wonderful husband Tim, My and Tim's families, My church, My friends, My cat Vader, My dog Roxy. Also I am thankful for food to eat, a roof over my head, warm clothes, heat in the house, bills paid, two cars, a nice bed to sleep in, washer and dryer, electricity, a warm shower, soap, coffee, tea, new sheets, books to read, that I am a Christian that can celebrate freely in the country, my President, our troops and their families, the persecuted church, the kind bell ringers, potato chips, Nancy Drew and Miss Marple, my future babies, flapper shoes, cool hats......and like a million other things. I could go on and on forever. When we put it into perspective, we have so much. I imagine the cold, the hungry, those who are lost without the Lord, those that live in tyranny....and I am so blessed. God forgive me for ever living in want of something, when you have blessed me with so much.......

Buzy Day

So i am sitting here in my sister's room listening to the happy sounds of the little ones snoring...have to enjoy it while I can because they will be up and about shortly. I am drinking a vanilla protein shake....ugghhh. Today is fasting day for our church, we fast every Wednesday. I can't do a total fast it gives me migraines, so I do the Joseph fast....vegetables, and if Joseph was alive today....a protein shake. I am enjoying my moment of calm right before the busy day that is ahead of me. I have to clean my sis's entire house because she literally has no time and we are having Thanksgiving here tommorow, so the burden falls on me. I am such a wonderful sister!! J/k....well I am a good sister, but you know what I mean.....Anyhoo, I hope all read my previous blog and comment I added to it....Jackie deserves credit for the new background, and Walmart...God bless them...took back my comforter. Not only did I get a better one, but it came with it's own sheets!!! I was in bliss last night going to bed, I have always wanted sheets that went with my comforter, I am happy now!!! Yesterday was a test of my patience...I don't know if I passed, I had to count to 10 about sixty times....but one thing that happened was pretty cool. I always make sure that I thank the volunteers for Salvation Army as I go in a store....do you realize these volunteers work day after day, 12 hour shifts....sometimes longer....out in the cold....and most people ignore them and can't even say hello??? Well there is this lady and she is at Walmart every year in Watertown. I was going in yesterday and she was there again this year....I promised her I would get her on the way out and lo and behold I forgot because it took a looonnnnggg time to exchange my comforter and by the time that was done I didn't have time to go get a new one. So I had to go back after work. When I was going back in I saw her and thought, "OH GREAT, I LIED TO HER," I had forgotten I promised to catch her on the way out. Wouldn't you know I only had a gift card and NO cash. Anyways I got up in line and realized I had my sister's money to buy cleaning supplies....instead of using her cash I put her stuff on my gift card and had a dollar and some change left. When I went out of the store I walked up to her and said, "I forgot earlier but I had to come back so I am getting ya now." She smiled and said that she had seen me leave earlier, but didn't say anything. I was blown away...why??? Because I knew in my heart that I had just been a testimony. Had I not brought money to that kettle, that woman would have thought I was just like everyone else who went by and said, "I'll getcha on the way out," and never do. God awes me. I had totally forgotten, I had no way of having any money to put there, and all of the sudden He showed me how to be a blessing. It was pretty cool. I am going to try to bring that woman a thermos of hot coffee or cocoa or something, just to say thanks for her volunteer work. Last year I was working at the mall and I surprised the bell ringer there with a cup of coffee. The look on her face said everything. WE all need to appreciate those in the world that still care enough to sacrifice, it will be those people who carry on God's love generation after generation.

Jackie Card is My Hero

I think the title says it all but hey, Jackie did my new template, she rawks like apple sauce.........I just had a major rocking to sleep session with my nephew that has pretty much taken up my energy for the day....God grant me serenity....wait I am not an alchoholic.....God grant me strength!!! I am so tired!!!! But thankfully most of my withdrawal symptoms are getting much much better, thank you all who prayed!!! Most definitely appreciated. I am feeling sad for Heather and Heidi...I hope you both with be okay. I know you will, but I just pray that God blesses you and that despite your family leaving you would have a joyous holiday season.....I am in the middle of debating whether or not I should go out on Black Friday shopping....of course if I don't get my paycheck then there will be no debate!!!! I need to go get ready to meet my sister. She has a doc's appt. for Aidan.....I am going to attempt to take my destroyed comforter back to Wally World as I read the label and lo and behold, you could dry it on low.....so they sold me a product that was inferior. They had better take it back or else I will just have to bless them in Jesus Name!!!! Well I'm outie...........
The leafy graphic that is supposed to be in the upper right-hand corner isn't working. I'm not sure why. It may pop up at some random moment, so don't be shocked if you suddenly see it.

Hope you like it,

Another BIG UGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

Ohmigosh I feel like my body is in some secret government experiment. This withdrawal thing is just one thing after another. I feel completely awful. I feel like such a lazy wife, yesterday I was going to clean the house and then I couldn't because of heart palpitations and today I have a fever, plus the usual palpitations....although they are calming a bit, THANK YOU JESUS!!! But my body is just so out of wack right now. They never tell you this stuff when you go on a drug. NO of course not, drug companies give our docs the kickbacks. Anyways I just hope I can get back to normal very soon because I can't accomplish anything like this....even cleaning my house. Yeah, remember that post when I was happy the house was clean?? It's definitely not anymore and I am very frustrated!!! But enuff complaining. I did manage to get a load of laundry in, there's an accomplishment. In the meantime I am chomping at the bit to get Jan Karon's final book in the Mitford series. Your so lucky Jackie to have that book!!! I am jealous!!! So's my MOMS yo. I got her hooked. I got to wait till after Christmas though. Well not much else exciting. No more complaining. Peace out homes.
P.S. If anyone wants to see the cool flapper shoes that I purchased on ebay, here's the link....I am really excited, these shoes are like 70 years old, I purchased them with my little extra side money I got from working my boo-tah-tah off at Tracey's...... here they are

P.S. Prayer

Just a little P.S. to my earlier blog....can everyone who reads this really pray for me. I am having very bad continual withdrawal symptoms from cutting off my zoloft. Anyways, what I thought was the flu I now see as withdrawal symptoms...I looked online and discovered everything I am experiencing is normal= heart palpitations, light-headedness, naseau, intense mood swings...anyways the down side is, that people who have tapered off have had these issues....I went cold-turkey, so mine are severe and from what I read could last for months. Please pray, I don't want to have to go back on this junk, EVER, and I might have to if withdrawal doesn't stop, so thanks for your prayers

Not much

As the title elludes, not much going on here. Got up, got to have coffee again!!! Yippee!!! My husband made me breakfast which was sweet but my tummy is still a little sensitive. My cat insists on coming and sitting on my lap or messing me up while typing. He's like a little baby. Speaking of which, I am really considering adoption, not that I don't believe God's promises that Tim and I will have our own, but the thought of unwanted children out there overwhelms me. If I can make a difference in one little life, that's one less unwanted child that will grow up feeling useless. This is something I have always dreamed about, adopting.....it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
On another note, it cost us almost $500 to fill our fuel tank....UGGGHHHHH!!!! I am like so irritated....Tim and I are going away on our anniversary December 9th to a really nice cottage in Lake Placid, but we still owe money on it....by the time Christmas and all that stuff is taken care of, I am not sure what we are going to do.....another big UGGGGHHHHH!!!! We got a nice cottage, we probably will only be able to stay there and not do anything in the town. Oh well. God's in control, maybe I will get some surprise check in the mail....who knows......God always takes care of needs no matter what they are. It's just so frustrating, especially in this season when you want to do so much for others, but it's hard I have 3 families to buy for!!!! Another big UGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
On yet another note....I was looking at the clouds the other day and had a childhood flashback. You know how the clouds get that beautiful mixture of colors with the pink gleaming thru and it looks like Heaven. I really thought that was Heaven when I was little. I thought Jesus lived in the clouds and watched over me. Thankfully He is closer than that, He's in my heart!!!

Kevin

I miss my brother....I just heard Stryper-Honestly on my satellite radio....it reminded me of when we were kids....well I was a kid, he was a pre-teen....anyhoo I miss him. I'm feeling blue....go see his website, he's a wonderful musician..... www.kevinthompsonmusic.com

Over the Hump

Well I am recovering from a two-day stint with the flu. I am over the hump of the worst, still feeling a little dizzy and light-headed but a lot of my friends and family would say that's normal!!! LOL!!!! I woke up today to a beautiful white blanket on my lawn.....God's creation is so beautiful and wonderful!!! Today is the first day I have had a cup of coffee in about three days because I have been having heart palpitations and I didn't want to chance blowing my heart out of my chest.....so far so good. I can't wait for Christmas this year. Last year I was robbed, and I don't mean in the sense of gifts because I got everything I wanted and it meant absolutely nothing to me. No, I was robbed by Sears and Roebuck. They sought to tear me down and destroy me. Two people I trusted the most, brought me into the office AFTER I had worked my 6am - 1pm holiday shift on CHRISTMAS EVE, and flat out fired me because I had been sick and they wouldn't accept my doctor's notes. What was the hardest part was one of them was a Christian. I know that that is one reason I took it so hard, besides being in line for a management posistion and working loyally and faithfully for over a year and going above and beyond the call of what was expected of me. Anyways, I don't remember much about last Christmas...I was so attacked emotionally and I just puttered thru in shock. The person that fired me, really hurt me. I had had a relationship with her as a friend and someone I could talk to thru the hecticness and get a Godly perspective, and then she turned around and did that to me. It was tough. But you know what, this year I am stronger. This year will not be robbed from me, this year the birth of my Saviour will be rejoiced with glee. I will not let my celebration of Jesus be robbed. Yea I like presents....but I like the Spirit that is in the air, I like being with my family. I like knowing that thousands of years ago, one came into the world to sacrifice His life for me. It's too bad that people only have that Spirit during the Christmas season. When they can have access to it whenever they want. In keeping with that spirit, I am giving a gift to the two ladies, Shanna and Amy, that fired me last year....FORGIVENESS. That's my gift to them, and I truly do forgive them. Please say a prayer of blessing for them if you will. I will as well.

On another note. I was reading this one year Bible I purchased at the Utica conference, and one of my days had a verse from Proverbs 27:17....it says, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." I thank God for my friends who have insight and wisdom that I do not. I appreciate the words they speak into me to sharpen me as a sword for the kingdom of God. Not that I am discrediting any other friends, but Heather is one I really enjoy listening to because she thinks of things in ways I do not, and most of the time when you see things thru another's perspective it is very helpful to your own trials and situations. I only hope that I can be that kind of friend and youth leader. I want to "sharpen" those around me. I pray that it is so.

My brain off drugs

Okay for those of you who don't know the commercial let me tell you what it says. It says, "This is your brain," and shows a nice intact egg. And then it says, "This is your brain on drugs," and shows a not-even-appetizing scrambled egg. Well I have to disagree with that commercial...it has been about one and a half to two weeks without my zoloft, and I can tell you my brain has got to be the scrambled one, because I am just doing the most stupidest things with absolutely no reasoning behind them. Case-in-point....I just put my brand new $70 silk-like-material comforter into the dryer and not only melted it but left a nice sticky substance on the back of my dryer that my husband had to chip off, which he couldn't get all of it off so I am praying there will be no sticky residue transferred to my clothing!!! This is not the first idiotical thing I have done in the last couple of weeks. I put my hand around the barrel of a 2" diameter curling iron thinking it was off and had to go to my urgent care because my whole handprint was as scarlet as my now ruined comforter. Thankfully God miraculously healed that one. I am having one long stupid moment rolled into a chain of events. I have knocked things over. I have broken things. I have been on what feels like constant pms. I just don't know what's going on here man!!!! Of course lack of sleep probably doesn't help. And how dumb am I to stop taking it right before a major youth conference where I was with teenagers for three days straight. No offense to my youth group, they are great kids, it's just so tiring man!!! Anyways I write this in light heartedness, but a word to the wise, if you want to stop taking a brain stimulating medication, for goodness sakes don't be Kat.....ween yourself of it. Hey Heather....Don't Be That Guy......LOL!!! So here I write my humiliating scrambled brain ramblings.....hope you all enjoy.

Joy

I have to say that after the hard time I have been having God knows how to give me hope. I am sitting right now listening to the blissfull snoring of my niece Kiersten and the heavy breathing of my nephew Aidan. Both little cherubs are sleeping so innocently in their mommy's bed. (Yes Tracey, Kiersten peed before she layed down.) You would think I have a hard time watching them because of the hardship of infertility, but it's just the opposite. They are like a soothing balm to my heart. The things they do make my laugh, and cry, and feel immense joy in my heart. They are not mine, but I know that some day I will have little ones just like them that bless my heart so. This morning Aidan was crawling on the floor and all the sudden he stopped dead, and I hear this grunting, and then I see his little face turning red......Yep, he pooped. It was hysterical, I was like, "Are you pooping?" and he just looks at me, grunting and concentrating, on all fours with his little butt sticking up in the air!! I laughed so hard. And then there are the little moments where you look into that precious face and see what a wonderful Creator God is. How much joy I have to rock my nephew to sleep, or to hear my niece pray for her food, even though she recites the "no bad dreams, no scary monsters," nighttime prayer for meals. I love all of my nieces and nephews. Each one of them are so unique. Brittany is goofy and loves the Lord with all her heart, and Malarie is sassy like me, which is sometimes scary!! And Zoe likes to read and loves her mommy, Logan likes to play little boy tough and thinks he's spiderman. Lucas has a tender heart. Madelyn is happy when you put make-up on her, her whole face lights up!! Mateo thinks he's a power ranger. Tristan is sensitive and loves music. Kendall is a beautiful little tomboy. Kiersten is caring and generous, and Aidan is the handsomest baby in the whole world!!! As well as a little ball of personality. They all bring me joy. I am so blessed to have each one in my life. When I finally do have mine they will have some terrific cousins to babysit and play with. I just can't wait!!! God knows. He hears. He sorrows with me. And He will rejoice with me when the time comes.

Clear up

I just want to clear any thing up from my previous post....when I talk about people saying things to me about having a baby I don't mean any of my friends. My friends have been very sweet and good to me, so I don't want to give the wrong idea in any way. I love you all!!!

My weekend

Well this weekend was amazing as it usually is. I have been going to the Mt. Zion youth conference in Utica, NY since it started and to see the amazing growth of it and where it has come from just blows me away. When we first started going as a church I was a teenager.....there was only about 50 kids there. Now they have to do two different weekends and there are over 1.000 kids that attend. It's just amazing. I really believe it's because the conference offers something real and not just a feel good, babysitting the teens time. We are talking powerful, cut thru the marrow, messages. Messages that bring conviction and repentance and forgiveness and healing. There is something so encouraging and empowering to me to see this generation weeping and on their knees and lifting their hands to God and allowing the Holy Spirit to move in them. You know what that shows me? It shows me that this generation will not be wasted, this generation will rise up and break the bondage that Mtv and people like Madonna or Paris Hilton or Hugh Heffner try bring upon them. That they will stand and rise and fight against the "norms" of modern society. One thing I really learned this weekend is that I don't want to bow to the spirit of Babylon, (the world,) I am going to bow to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He's the only one I will bow to. He is the only one who deserves our praises!!! I love my Lord and I want to live completely for Him with no compromise. On another note, my students were really touched. I see an immense change. There were deep wounds that were healed and illnesses that were taken away. I know they will not be the same and I am excited for the next youth group.
On a personal note...I did have some difficulty this weekend. I am really irritated with infertility. It is such a deep wound. And you never know when that wound is going to open up again. I have struggled for over three years....I have had the deep pain of not knowing why it's not happening. I have had the torture of seeing people who have been married as long as me have 2 to 3 beautiful children, while I am trying to just have one. I have had the pain of month after month expecting and hopes being dashed. And thru it all I have had immense faith, I have not felt sorry for myself, I have not blamed God. And I never will. I know God has a perfect plan. I don't understand it, but I know there is one. But even the most holy person that has a thorn in their side will get worn once in a while. For the last few months I have had a very difficult time. There are those who have never experienced this pain who try to tell me they know how I feel.....NO YOU DON'T.....unless you've gone thru it, and gone thru it for a very long time I might add, you don't understand. So please don't tell me you know!!!! And if I have to hear "it'll happen," one more time I think my brain will explode. I know people mean well, I know they do, and God bless them for trying so hard to be a comfort, I mean that sincerely, but they just have no idea. When I first started not being able to get pregnant, like the first year or so, there was one of my friend's acquaintances who had been trying for God knows how many years....and she would say..."your friend hasn't even been trying that long, she has no right to complain." At the time I thought this woman was being selfish. Now I realize she was speaking wisdom....that first year of trying.....that's so nothing compared to the second year, and the third year.....I can't even imagine what it's like for those who have suffered with this longer than I have. I realized that I had no right to complain to someone who had suffered for so long when I had not yet been thru the fire. And I believe it is the same with anything we go thru. If we look at someone who has been thru the fire, we need to be greatful that we haven't had to endure so much pain. If the pain I am feeling now is so raw, I can't imagine the women that suffer year after year until finally they give up or adopt. That has to be one of the most heartbreaking things a woman could ever go thru, other than losing a child. I don't speak here to complain now. I had a very tough weekend, it seemed everywhere I went there was a beautiful newborn baby or a toddling todler. And how beautiful they were!!! Absolute Gorgess babies!!! And I see there parents, and I see the look of love and devotion on their faces as they see their child. I long and yearn for that. I long to hold my baby and feel the deep satisfaction that God has entrusted me with a little one to shape and mold. I honestly don't know why I am writing such a personal thing here....maybe it is just my outlet. I do know God is in control and I thank Him because I know His plan is perfect. I don't know when it will happen, but I know it will happen and the mourning will be turned to dancing of joy. My head knows these things, but sometimes it is hard for my heart to accept them. But thru it all there is only One who truly knows my pain, and He took it to the cross for me, and He felt my pain, and He bore my pain, that I might be healed. And that is my hope, and that is what I cling to......so "when hope is lost, I'll call you Savior, when pain surrounds, "I'll call you Healer, when silence falls you'll be the song within my heart....."

Youth Conference

Well we are going to our annual youth conference at Mt. Zion Ministries in Utica, Ny so I won't be posting for a few days. I am really hoping this conference lights a fire under our youth. Almost a week without zoloft....I decided I didn't want to take it anymore. It's an anti-anxiety, anti-depression medication. I have been on it for about 5 years, and I feel it's time to get off of it. I needed it at the time, but now I am strong in faith and mighty in battle so I know I no longer need it. The withdrawals have been hard but I just wanted it out of my system!!! Besides, it's known to make you gain weight and I definitely don't want that!!! Well I am off!!!!

I have told satan (won't capitalize because he doesn't deserve it,) that I am sick and tired of allergies and I refuse to have them in my body. So I am proclaiming healing from allergies in JESUS NAME!!!!! Well nuff of that. This weekend was GREAT!!! I had so much fun at "Miss Heather's" party. And I made a few new friends....HopefullY?????? Jackie and Kimmie and Heidi.....it was very fun. We literally laughed and talked from the time the whole shindig started and Heather almost "WET HERSELF".....LOL!!! Heather knows what that inside joke is about. Anyhoo it was great fun and we pigged out and I feel 40 lbs heavier. UGGGGHHHHH!!!!! But I went to bed with a clean house last night so I am in an extremely happy mood!!!! Well gotta go before the kids kill eachother!!!! God bless all of your days!!!!

Worn

I am so flippin tired....I don't know how I get burnt out so easy. It's like sleeping in on Saturdays just isn't enough anymore, I am so exhausted. UGGGHHHH!!!! I hate it. Maybe it's the every day routine of things....or maybe it's the long hours with children, two hours of driving a day, 3 church meetings a week, youth leaders meetings, etc.....LOL!!! It could be some of that stuff....Hee, hee, hee...............tired. Anyways, not much exciting going on. My allergist yelled at me today for having a cat. He was like, "Your extremely allergic, you shouldn't have a cat..." I couldn't even look him in the eye, I felt like a two year old. It was kind of comical. Did I mention I am tired.....only Heather and Mary Ann read this, so is this pointless???? Who knows. Love ya anyways.....tired. Speaking of the cat, he's sitting on my lap, filling my breathing space with his allergans. But I just couldn't let him be put somewhere where no one would love him, so I had to rescue him, being the sensitive creature I am. I have been praying for healing from allergies. They are just such a severe pain. I hate them. Tonight is the night all my favorite shows are on but I think seriously I am going to dvr them because I am just so exhausted. UGGGGhHHHH!!!! Well, tired, nuff said.
